Tooth Fairy Pillow, repurposed vintage quilt, Sun Bonnet Sue #sunbonnetsue

This Tooth Fairy pillow is made from a vintage Sun Bonnet Sue quilt that had seen better days. The front is one block of the quilt, original intact blanket stitch surrounding Sue, with accents of teal blue/green and yellow at the edges and added wings from repurposed pink eyelet. If the quilt piece was thread bare in spots, it has been "cross-hatch" patched (back and forth sewing in a small area- please see pictures for examples). That back of the pillow has a pocket, also accented by a straight stitch and closed by a vintage bone button- a place for the Tooth Fairy to find the lost tooth and put whatever she chooses to leave in the its place. Sweet as can be.
